Is the Cleanser and Detailer for water proof watches only?
The Cleanser is for water proof watches only. The Cleanser is a deep clean where the watch is under running water. The Detailer is a more controlled application, just spray the cloth and wipe down your timepiece. Always make sure the crown is tight and your watch has been pressure tested by a professional periodically to ensure safety under water.

How safe is the Detailer and Cleanser?
The Cleanser and the Detailer have both been tested vigorously over the course of many years. Our products are the safest and highest quality available on the market. Household products contain detergents and harsh chemicals and many of our competitors use the same ingredients and are sourced overseas in cheap and in bulk. These products can and will damage your timepiece over time. Our products use no harsh chemicals and no expense is spared during our manufacturing, which is done here in the United States. Premium is the best way to describe Perpetual Detail. Safety for your investment is and always will be our #1 priority.
How often should I replace the watch cloth?
We recommend replacing monthly or washing periodically as mentioned in our tips for optimal performance. If you drop cloth on floor or concrete, wash immediatly before you use again to avoid scratching your timepiece. See our products page and stock up!
Will the Cleanser and Detailer work on Leather/Alligator straps?
No. The Cleanser and Detailer are not designed to work on these types of straps. The Cleanser is designed to deep clean under running water and you would want to avoid getting leather wet. See our product page and get your products for your leather needs!
What about Rubber straps?
The Cleanser works great for cleaning up rubber straps as long as your timepiece is waterproof. The Detailer although not intended for rubber straps is safe to use if needed. Just spray the cloth and wipe down same as you would a metal bracelet!
